VOLUNTEER WORK
VOLUNTEER WORK
Volunteering has been part of my life since I was 5 years old.
2010 – 2013:
When I was 5 years old, I started volunteering by working as the Creative Director of Secret Bear World (a virtual world game for children, similar to Webkinz and Club Penguin) because the company needed a game designer who knew what kind of gameplay that children would enjoy and play. It was my idea to develop Secret Bear World with charity built into its game design.
2012 – 2016:
When I was 7 years old, the LEGO Store in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada asked me if I would be interested in building the demo LEGO sets for the store. Some of the LEGO sets that I built for the LEGO Store included the LEGO Star Wars Kylo Ren Shuttle set.
2018:
When I was 14 years old, I volunteered to work as a Film Production Assistant with MX MOVIES. I learned a lot about the film industry and how much work it takes to film a TV series. My favorite work day was on set of the filming of the annual DC Arrowverse crossover event (The Flash, Arrow and Supergirl are teamed up for the event) at BC Place in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
2020:
When I was 16 years old, I volunteered to work as a Film Liaison with MX MOVIES during the filming of the pilot episode Superman & Lois TV show at The Vancouver Sun newspaper office in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.

All of my volunteer work have been great experiences and I learned a lot in different industries (game development, retail and film industry) which prepared me for my application and acceptance into the Internship Program at MX MOVIES. This was for the role of Virtual Production Specialist and my job is to assist in designing purpose-built movie studio projects from the design/development phase through to the construction phase implemented with the latest film industry technology StageCraft (the technology used to film Star Wars’ The Mandalorian).

The Vancouver Sun
Film Liaison
I volunteered to work as a Film Liaison with MX MOVIES during the filming of the pilot episode Superman & Lois TV show at The Vancouver Sun newspaper office in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. It was very exciting to work on this film location as it was the Daily Planet for the Superman & Lois TV show, This was a learning experience in a very fast paced industry. Helped with showing the Vancouver Sun office film location to the location scout, the crew, etc. Attended the tech survey, etc.
BC Place
Film Production Assistant
I started my volunteer work with MX MOVIES as a production assistant with their company. My first volunteer job was learning how film production works during the filming of the annual DC Arrowverse crossover event (The Flash, Arrow and Supergirl are teamed up for the event) at BC Place in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
It was exciting to watch Grant Gustin as The Flash, Stephen Amell as the Green Arrow, Melissa Benoist as Supergirl and Tyler Hoechlin as Superman perform the scene in which it appears Superman Prime was trying to cause havoc by holding The Flash hostage outside of a building featuring the Superman logo. Eventually Arrow confronted him with his bow & arrow drawn, and Superman Prime let Barry go, before clapping his hands together, causing a massive boom behind the logo, stealing the mystery book.
The LEGO Store
Built demo LEGO sets for the store
When I was 7 years old, I was asked if I would be interested in building some of the demo LEGO sets for the LEGO Store in Vancouver. As a long time builder of LEGO, I said yes immediately. My favorite sets which I built for the LEGO Store are the Star Wars Kylo Ren Shuttle, etc.
Secret Bear World
Creative Director
Secret Bear World is a virtual world of bears where you can have fun playing cool games, making new friends, and buying virtual stuff for your bear. It was my idea to develop Secret Bear World with charity built into its game design. Secret Bear World is committed to helping the children of the world by donating to children’s cancer research in hopes that someday the world will find a cure for, or better yet, prevention to cancer, especially in children. We also supported the Make A Wish Foundation and Stand Up To Cancer.
